Campaign rules

Staff enforce these four rules. Anything done against them can be reversed. Questions about a ruling go to a help ticket.

1. Every war needs a valid cause

  • "I don't like them", "I want their land" or "I lead the alliance" is not a cause.
  • Staff can cancel a war that has no valid cause.

2. No land for armies

  • No giving land to another nation so it can raise troops there.
  • Land given for that will be taken back.

3. Unplayed land cannot be claimed

  • Nobody owns land nobody holds, and no nation can call it theirs before taking it.
  • Any nation may take it by marching in (see War).

4. Surrender limits

  • A nation can only give up so much land in one peace:
  • Small (1 to 10 provinces): at most 2 provinces
  • Medium (11 to 25 provinces): at most 3 provinces
  • Large (26 or more): at most 4 provinces
  • A capital can never be given. The map refuses a peace that asks for more.
